I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Yale University. I teach courses on integrating AI into social science research methods, computational approaches to studying culture, and the sociology of backlash. I also co-organize Yale’s Computational Social Science Workshop.

My current research uses computational and quantitative methods to examine how technology affects culture and politics. For example, recent projects investigate the impact of generative AI on sociological practice and society, the role of social media in civil unrest, the effect of prediction markets on political speech, and the influence of data center backlash on partisan identities and behavior. This last project extends earlier work on the social and cultural dynamics of backlash, which focused on the Blue Lives Matter movement. For more information about my research, see here.
